Biography

Anastasiya Roytman, Soprano

Anastasiya Roytman was born in Kaliningrad, Russia. At the age of thirteen Anastasiya performed in Russia, Denmark, Sweden and Germany as a soloist of the Kaliningrad Youth Choir. Her opera debut took place when she was sixteen when she was invited to perform in the production of Orfeo by Gluck. After this production had been performed on the stage it was recorded for the radio with Kaliningrad Symphony Orchestra.
At that time, Ms Roytman was a student at the Kaliningrad Music College where she studied choral conducting. After graduating, Anastasiya Roytman entered Gnessin Academy of Music in Moscow to study voice. She was the youngest student to get accepted to the Professor Zara Dolukhanova's studio. Anastasiya and her family immigrated to the United States in 2001, where she is currently studying at the Chicago College of Performing Arts with Tracy Watson.
Anastasiya Roytman makes her debuts in France as Mercedes in Carmen and the Third Lady in The Magic Flute with Lyrique en Mer.
