The French Moldavian soprano Sandra Zeltzer was born in Paris. She studied at the Conservatoire National de Paris, where she graduated, before taking up the Postgraduate Opera Course at the Guidlhall School of Music and Drama, London. Whilst still a student, she has received numerous awards and scholarships including the J.Gulliver Prize, a scholarship from the Fondation Singer-Polignac and a prize in the Maggie Teyte Competition.
She has given recitals and concerts in France, Switzerland, Belgium, Great-Britain (Wigmore Hall), New-Zealand, USA and she participated at Menotti's 90th birthday gala with P. Domingo and R. Fleming.
Sandra Zelter's operatic experience has included Micaëla in Carmen with the Opera Comique, Despina in Cosi fan Tutte and the Fifth Maid in Elektra with Royal Opera House, Arminda in La Finta Giardiniera with Opera Zuid (Netherland), Marzelline in Fidelio in the New Zealand International Festival, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni in the Glyndebourne Festival, Jenny in La Dame Blanche (Opéra Comique), Leïla in Pearl Fishers (Opéra du Rhin) and l'Amour in Anacréon (La Fenice).
She has appeared in concert in Florent Schmitt's La Tragédie de Salomé and she sang Le Requiem à la Vierge by Berlioz.
This is Sandra Zeltzer's first appearance with Lyrique en Mer, she will sing Micaëla in Carmen and the Second Lady in The Magic Flute.
